The Chambers Business Advice Service is your local enterprise agency, a member of the National Federation of Enterprise Agencies, providing support and guidance to people looking into becoming self employed or already running an existing small business.
With heavy media attention on entrepreneurs with the likes of BBC’s Dragons Den and ITV’s Tycoon, becoming self employed is an ever increasing trend with thousands of people each year excited at the concept of becoming their own boss and taking the plunge to start up their own business.
Many businesses succeed but sadly some fail within the first year of trading, largely due to lack of proper preparation and planning. The solution; Sound Business Advice
OUR MISSION We are dedicated to providing the right advice and support to help people start up and run successful businesses.
CBAS provides an opportunity to talk with an experienced and accredited business adviser about business ideas and discuss appropriate ways of progressing them to a reality. A brief telephone interview is carried out to establish your requirements and match you to a suitable adviser. It is an ongoing service; clients can meet with advisers or discuss queries over the phone or via e-mail. We meet with over 1200 clients each year.
Advice can cover: • Sales, Marketing and Market Research • Business planning and finance • Book Keeping, Payroll and Accounts • Tax, planning permission and other ‘red tape’ • Government assistance • Appropriate legal Status • Growth and Expansion • Finding Premises • Innovation • and other business related topics
Existing businesses using the advisory service are able to gain an impartial review of their position. The adviser will work with you to develop ways to grow the business or deal with specific issues.
