The Milton Keynes and North Bucks Chamber of Commerce operates as as a member of the World Trade Center Association. Established in 1970, with 310 World Trade Centers worldwide with access to 750,000 members, the World Trade Center Milton Keynes provides a central gateway for businesses wishing to grow and expand their business internationally. The WTC MK, working with its international, regional and local network of alliances and partners provides opportunities to connect and access new markets, business and governments through trade seminars, trade visits and exhibitions.
Access to international trade services
Certification and Legalisation
Through authorisation by the DTI and the HM Revenue & Customs you can get access to Certificates of Origin, EUR1 and ATR Certificates and many other documents used in international trade. You can also obtain international legal advice through partnerships with other trading organisations and worldwide Chambers of Commerce.
Consultancy and Advice
The combined experience of the international team within the Chamber of Commerceand the external advice available through the World Trade Center network means that you can get access to an unrivalled level of consultancy services for initiating or expanding your international trade.
Negotiation
The Chamber can offer master classes for individuals and teams at all stages of negotiation in bids, contract and deal negotiation. A clear strategy considered upfront ensures that as a business you protect and secure the best from international deals. For specific and particular negotiations an independent negotiator can be secured to be part of your team to negotiate on your behalf
Free Country Fact Files
We are able to supply useful, free publications to members on many of our international trading partner countries. These give a unique insight into the region’s market and gives advice on legal issues, transport, finance and other areas to help you make the right decisions when it comes to international trading.
Market Visits and UK Trade Delegations
Membership to the World Trade Center Association allows the Chamber of Commerce to initiate and lead trade delegations to many countries throughout a range of trading regions including Eastern Europe and China. WTC MK also plays a lead role in the organisation and hosting on incoming trade delegation visits that provide matchmaking opportunities to its members.
Embassy Connections
Forging links with overseas trade embassies is a key part of the WTC membership and the overall international offering from the Chamber of Commerce. These links give unparalleled access to potential trading opportunities as well as keeping up to date on the latest trading conditions. Official Embassy visits to the Milton Keynes region can also be arranged through the Chamber.

The International Team are trained to deal with a wide range of enquires from importers and exporters and they have full access to the worldwide Chamber and WTC networks. The WTC also has access to exclusive market research intelligence to help you fully assess potential trading markets.
Training
Throughout the year a programme of training workshops and seminars designed to help businesses build there capabilities and confidence in facing the challenges of international trade. Quarterly ‘Think International’ seminars give a comprehensive assessment of key markets from key service providers including relevant case studies and success stories.

This training develops the skills the delegates need to build successful relationships and effectively manage in a foreign workplace . It covers aspects such as values, morals, ethics, business practices, etiquette, protocol or negotiation styles with reference to one country.
Translation and Interpretation
The Chamber can offer a comprehensive translation service to help actively promote your business abroad. We can arrange translators skilled within your particular service sector. Interpretation can be supplied for technical, commercial and legal documents, plus website and software translation.
