For those exporting for the first time or businesses experienced in international trade expanding into new markets, we can help develop export capabilities and provide expert advice, reliable data, and professional research.
Local UKTI services include:
OMIS (Overseas Marketing Introduction Service)Impartial advice, reliable data and professional research, including pre-warmed contact list. Typical Subsidised Charge: £800.
New Products from Britain In-market Publicity Service. Subsidised publicity via a professional press release in overseas trade journals. Cost: £200.

SESA Support. Support for Exhibitions and Seminars Abroad. Support in the form of organised visits and subsidies of up to 50% for major trade shows overseas. Maximum funding towards trade stand: £2500
Solo Show Support. Grant assistance to SMEs taking part in overseas trade fairs Not included in the above SESA programme. Grant support of 50% of stand cost up to a maximum of £2,000.
Your Passport to Export Success. A comprehensive toolkit of advice & support aimed at new & inexperienced exporters. Assistance developing an export strategy & action plan, develop skills & matched funding up to £3000 for eligible companies.
Export Marketing Research Scheme (EMRS). Grant for up to 50% of your export marketing research costs. Matched funding up to £20,000 for any one project.
Export Communications Review (ECR).International Products and services evaluation programme for exporters. Initial review £50
Eligibility
You will be an SME looking to export for the first time, already exporting or looking to expand their overseas business. Pre-start-ups, sole importers or those re-branding imported goods are not eligible.
Application Process
Many of our services are free, although there will be a nominal, subsidised charge for services engaging the UKTI overseas teams. After making an initial enquiry, you will be contacted within 2-3 days by a local UKT&I adviser to discuss your needs or to arrange a free meeting.
